VOLTA HOT MELT JETTING HEAD FOR HIGH PROCESS RELIABILITY

The Volta electric hot melt jetting head, which is operated completely without compressed air, ensures high process reliability for dot and bead application of thermoplastic adhesives. It is resistant and low-maintenance, and protected against external influences with the protection class IP65. VOLTA BRINGS STABILITY TO THE ADHESIVE APPLICATION

The Volta electric application head delivers reliable adhesive application over the course of 2 billion operating cycles. Volta requires no compressed air and therefore does not need any dynamic seals – an advantage over pneumatic application heads. Less wear and tear despite high switching frequencies means that maintenance work is reduced to a minimum. Volta complies with protection class IP65, which means that it is protected against external influences such as jet water or cardboard dust. The application head is therefore suitable for harsh environments, such as those found in the beverage industry, as well as for the food and pharmaceutical industries.

SAVE ADHESIVE WITH STITCHING

Saving adhesive is easy with Volta. With a switching frequency of 200 Hz and 2 billion operating cycles, the electric jetting head is ideally suited for hot melt stitching. The control system of the application head defines how much adhesive is to be saved. Volta divides the adhesive beads into shorter beads or dots according to this value. Nothing more is needed. No external control or programming effort is required on the part of the host machine. Stitching can save up to 60 % adhesive compared to bead application. This also improves adhesion.

VOLTA: APPLICATION HEAD WITHOUT COMPRESSED AIR

Volta is a fully electric application head that does not require compressed air. This reduces operating costs, as compressed air systems are maintenance-intensive and expensive to operate. Compared to pneumatic application heads, Volta achieves energy savings up to 60 %, as it also consumes less electricity thanks to its good insulation. The Volta hot melt jetting head is therefore an economical application head in many respects, which leads to a quick return on investment.

Volta can easily be integrated into new and existing systems. The remote electronic module with 24 VDC interface enables direct control without a booster.

COOLTOUCH: PROTECTION FOR OPERATING PERSONNEL AND PRODUCTS

The Volta hot melt jetting head is completely equipped with a CoolTouch insulation as standard, also for multiple application heads. Volta also features a green touch protection on the bracket. The CoolTouch insulation protects operating personnel from burns in the event of accidental contact. Thanks to reduced heat radiation, even heat-sensitive products, such as chocolate or medicines, are protected during adhesive application.
