Robatech USA sells and services industrial gluing equipment, which is utilized on the production lines of some of the largest household names in the world. Our customer base is very diverse and we have experienced continued growth year-over-year.

Field Service Technician

Responsibilities of the Role

Repairs, installs, and maintains all Robatech gluing equipment such as Hot Melt units, PUR units, and Cold Glue equipment. Also provides application support and expertise to Robatech’s sales force, distributors/dealers, and customers.

  • Travels to customers domestically and occasional international trips
  • Excellent communication and rapport building at customer sites with a customer first focus
  • Observes equipment in operation performing maintenance and repair as needed
  • Dismantles equipment to gain access to remove/replace parts
  • Recommends / improves application processes
    Is familiar with all aspects of Robatech equipment and applications
  • Adjusts functional parts of equipment and electronic controls
  • Repair or replaces defective parts

  • Installs and integrates all Robatech equipment into OEM machinery (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc. HMI interface)
  • Installs equipment at customer sites
  • Works with inside sales ordering parts for customers
  • Evaluates warranty issues & replacements 
  • Assists distributors, dealers, OEM’s, and end-users with all technical and parts support services
  • Provides application engineering support to sales
  • Submits expense reports in timely manner
  • Cross train personnel as necessary
  • Attend and present at technical seminars & tradeshows as needed

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Prior technical discipline and/or college related degree highly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and safety rules
  • Ability to write technical visit reports
  • ERP experience preferred
  • 2+ years industrial maintenance related experience and/or training
  • Experience with low and high voltage electrical systems
  • Experience with Bottling, Packaging or Printing Equipment preferred

Job Type:

  • Position will require travel approximately 50%
